T his excellent quality, UL Listed, Leviton American Insulated Wire Corp. cloth covered cable contains three cloth covered wires each with a different color. White with black tracer, green and white. Made in the USA by Leviton. When purchasing electrical wire, a buyer might well consider whether the wire is UL Listed or not. A product that is UL Listed such as our cable offered here has been tested by Underwriters Lab and found to have met strict standards for safety and sustainability. These standards might include fire and flame resistance, functionality, and potential electrical hazards. UL Listed products carry a UL Listed mark. UL tests for a variety of things, such as if the wire sizes are correct, the product can handle the amount of current claimed, as well as whether the product is durable and constructed correctly Underwriters Lab was founded in 1894 and is a global not-for-profit safety science company. UL certification is voluntary for manufacturers. This cable works great for fan switch to motor windings for many Emerson, G.E., Westinghouse fans and many other fan makers. I have collected, restored, rebuilt and use antique electric fans of all sorts since the 1980's. I have used this cable on many fan restorations. An old saying ( I made it up) is that you can't have too many fans in Texas. Sometimes I cut open the 3 wire cable and use the single cloth covered wires inside for various fans, vintage lamps and switches. Sold by the foot. One foot of cable has three feet of wire inside.
